Risk Assessment
BOAT HANDLING
The skipper is fully qualified and holds an M.C.A.(maritime coastguard agency) tier 2 licence which qualifies him to carry up to 250 passengers up to 40 miles from Bridlington harbour.
The skipper has well over 30 years experience skippering passenger vessels.
MEDICAL FITNESS
Both the skipper and crewman hold a current M.C.A. medical certificate.
FIRST AID
The skipper holds a current M.C.A. approved First Aid certificate
PASSENGER SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENT
At the beginning of each voyage an M.C.A. approved safety announcement is given out to all passengers
POLLUTION
All precautions are taken to prevent pollution to the enviroment
HEALTH AND SAFETY
The skipper has an M.C.A. approved health and safety certificate, alcohol and drugs are not permitted on board.
VESSEL ENGINEERING,CONSTRUCTION AND EQUIPMENT
The M.C.A. annual survey includes the Hull, all machinery, liferaft, lifejackets, fire fighting equipment, navigational aids and distress signals.
KEEPING RECORDS
All daily checks , weekly checks and any incidents are recorded in the ships Log Book
PREPARATION FOR USE
The vessel is checked for sea-worthiness and cleaned daily
INSURANCE
The vessel holds a current M.C.A. Class V1 and C.O.P. (Code of practice) certificates and is insured with a passenger liability of up to £10,000,000
